1953-D Franklin Half Dollar
Certified by NGC at MS65 With a "Star" Designation. A better date and thus far the only Franklin of this date and grade with a "Star" from NGC. A designation that is well warranted for this coin. This is a very striking half dollar. Both the obverse and reverse are as crisp and frosty white as our New England Winter with exceptionally lovely luster and a strong strike. If you are partial to coins for their aesthetic value rather than for a numeric technical grade, this is one that you should consider.
